Writing to you on a beautiful sunny Saturday where we've been sitting in the garden reading books having finished our chores for the day...
Books have played such a big part of our success and totally know how important personal development is ever since we were introduced to it back in 2005 when we joined our first network marketing company
That didn't work out quite how we expected (but the seed of entrepreneurship was sown) and we did get introduced to some amazing books such as Think And Grow Rich, How To Win Friends & Influence People, The Power of Positive Thinking, As A Man Thinketh and in particular one that really stood out The Go-Giver by Bob Burg
The book he co-authored with John David Mann
We were lucky enough to interview him on our podcast last year - a very special man to whom we attribute much of our success in the online world
Talking about the five laws (guiding principles) in business - Value, Compensation, Influence, Authenticity and Receptivity
Value says "your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment"
You would think that's a recipe for bankruptcy wouldn't you?
But its important to understand the difference between price and value. Price is a dollar figure, a dollar amount. It's finite. Value on the other hand is the "relative worth or desirability of a thing to the beholder or end user"
In other words what is it about this thing, this product, service, concept, idea etc that brings so much worth or value to another human being that they will willingly exchange their money (or time) for this value and be very clad they did.
It can't have escaped your notice that everyone these days is talking about bringing value
And if you're looking to start or grow a sustainable business then you do need to be doing that
Gone are the days when you could sit behind your computer and spam the heck out of everyone with your offers...
