Quick story
A friend (now a millionaire entrepreneur in the network marketing/affiliate marketing space) shared with us many years ago about how he went to his first Tony Robbins event when he was broke...
It was amazing and he loved every minute of it even though it pushed him beyond his comfort zone many times
Towards the end of the event there was a pitch for his Mastery University which was three more events for $10,000
At the time coming us with that amount of money was like the equivalent of climbing Mt Everest naked. No way was it going to happen
He really wanted to go
He felt defeated watching all the go-getters as he called them go and sign up
Then something hit him powerfully...
If he didn't take action now... if he didn't overcome his fear then
He would never have $10,000
So he pulled out his credit card and paid a $1,000 deposit
Wondering how the heck he was going to come up with the remaining $9,000
Paralyzed with fear
At that point in his life his lack of of $10,000 was more powerful than him
BUT he knew that if he continued to allow that obstacle to be bigger than him it would always be bigger than him
You see we always have a choice...
We can be bigger than our challenges or our challenges can be bigger than us
If you let lack of money keep you from investing in yourself you'll always let a lack of money control your life
A scarcity mindset breeds a life of scarcity
An abundance mindset breeds a life of abundance
The reason why average people live average lives is because of average thinking
Average thinking says "I'll invest in myself when I have the extra money to do so"
Above average thinking says "I'll invest in myself now because if I don't, I'll never have the money to invest in myself"
If you want things to change, you cannot continue to let your challenges and fears be bigger than your dreams and goals
As we write this and share our friend's story we recall a time when we were faced with a very similar decision
Luckily fear didn't get in our way any more than it did our friend or we would not be here today writing to you
