We heard it too and when we began our journey as affiliate marketers we just followed that advice
We quickly learned that is NOT the way to build a loyal subscriber base or gain their trust
Of course we're going to want to sell stuff because we're in business to make a profit and no one can deny that
But choose the model you follow carefully
If you follow the old advice above then accept you will quickly burn through your subscribers or be sent to the spam folder!
If however you're serious about building an engaged audience and helping them solve their pains or fulfil their desires then it's time to put on your cape and become their superhero (or heroine)
