Hi Chris and Susan here...
This week represents one year since many of our lives and routines were disrupted by the pandemic
We remember this day vividly
It was a Saturday morning and over a cup of tea in bed unsuspecting of what was to emerge...
We saw the news that France had issued a declaration closing all the ski resorts at Midnight on the previous day
As many of you know we have a ski chalet business in the French Alps
We had guests checking out and guests travelling from Paris due to arrive
We literally had no idea how we could handle this from afar
But we did...
Let's face it life is full of challenges isn't it!
However the consequences were that we had to close our business for the season and contact all our guests and give them the news
That was our income gone just like that!
At this point we were not to know of the greater consequences
That it wasn't just Europe affected but the whole world
The tragedies, the enormous changes to the regular way of working and living for everyone
All of which led to new challenges
So as you read this we invite you to think about the year and the advice you would give your pre-pandemic self
