Hi Chris and Susan here...

We hope you've had as good a weekend as possible in the circumstances... and hopefully got out a bit more if lock down has been eased in your country...

It's been lovely weather here in the UK where we live and today our usual walk was busy with more families taking exercise and meeting family so we had to be careful and find a more secluded route just to be on the safe side

We came across this beautiful glade filled with purple bushes growing wild

The fact remains though (and not minimizing the impact in any way whatsoever, we've all experienced devestating and definitive life changes)...

Almost every person on the planet has experienced a major life event

BUT it's futile to come out the other side (whenever that might be) without having changed for the better as people

Don't you think?

We've all had plans derailed, lifestyle hobbled as our friends call it and of course 'NORMAL' has been completely re-defined

A recent email from Digital Marketer (one of our favourite marketing resources) actually created a graphic showing their take on what the pandemic has taught us

As you can see things have changed... a lot!

And as we are right in the midst of what will surely become a defining moment of this decade (or perhaps century) we want to take some to reflect on what we haven't lost

Many have lost loved ones... even more had lost jobs, income, retirement savings, their sanity even!

But worse even too many people had discovered their careers are incredibly fragile, their salaries far from guaranteed and their pay check isn't a safety net any more

It was a defining moment like this for us back in 2009 after we lost our retirement savings in the global financial crisis of 2008

But the message of choice is what is important

You can either choose to flood your consciousness with visions of catastrophe and fall into anxiety and despair...

Or you can reposition the situation as an opportunity for growth

Whatever the case, know that 7 billion of us are fighting the same battle and facing the same choice...

Lay down or rise

If you're like us which we're sure you are reading this email, you'll choose to view this hardship as your new teacher too

Just don't have regrets about the decisions you make now

This crisis is an open invitation to choose

If you didn't before, we hope you now see that these chaotic times offer the best opportunity to venture out

Our young mentor introduced us to a way out back then and we're offering it to you now

We sincerely hope you choose to take it

Trust the magic of new beginnings
