Writing to you from a very sunny Surrey UK where despite the beautiful weather and the fact we would love to go outside to enjoy it we must remain in self isolation...
We we can't even visit with our family and loved ones (except virtually) to celebrate this very special time of the year :-(
But it is what it is
And we will look back on this all one day
And give thanks that we survived it.
That so many good deeds and kindnesses were done by so many
Like the carer where Mum lives who left an Easter Egg and a hand drawn card made by her grand-children outside the door of every resident...
She doesn't earn a lot of money but she made a lovely gesture that made a difference to a lot of lonely people
This Easter Weekend is the best time to really give thanks for all that you do have even if times are very difficult and you can't see how or when this will be over and life can resume with some form of normality
It won't be the 'normality' of the life we knew before Covid-19
But those who understand that the 'new normal' will be involve living through a recession "way worse" than the 2008 financial crisis and take action now will be fully prepared when the time comes
The 2008 recession personally hurt us badly because we weren't prepared and we vowed that we would never let that happen again
And before you say that it must be alright for us let us tell you that it is far from alright!
We have hospitality businesses in France and Spain and when those countries shut down their borders we were out of business and have no idea right now how that is going to pan out..
We must just wait and see
Our online education and training business has always been our lifeline but even that has changed...
A lot of people are scared to venture into the unknown
Yet what they do now could ensure they prosper wildly (or suffer greatly financially) when we come through this!
To be honest, we hadn't actually intended to write at such great length on this but we wanted to give you something positive to think about over the Easter Weekend
Ask you to pose yourself the question
" What will your life look like 90 days from now?"
Will it be
- Better
- Worse
- The Same
Before COVID-19 sparked the recession, for the vast majority...

With today's economic downturn, that answer will be VERY different from a financial standpoint
