Hi Chris and Susan here...
Today we did something we rarely do and that's sit down and watch TV while we had lunch (it was raining and a great excuse)...
It was a rare treat as we got to watch Undercover Boss
It featured Armado Montelongo who went undercover as "Kevin Jones" to discover what was really going on within his company which took a decade to establish (he runs a house flipping business,
system and education company)
Interesting for us was his "insider" look at how his education events company worked as it's a model we're very familiar with as well known names like Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad Education) and Grant Cardone to name but a few operate their education companies...
And education is our thing as you probably know by now
Having a "double" impersonate him meant he could mingle with attendees at his event (the trick) and really get to see what the students thought of what they were being taught
Overall he was able to get a much better picture of how his company was operating and bring about changes that would improve it for his employees and his students
The most significant thing that he said however and something that we see all the time in our business is that you can deliver the best education in the world on the topic of interest to your students but if they don't take action then it's all a waste of time and money...
Well sort of...
What he went on to say was that it was important to have a good support network and community to help them stay accountable
We couldn't agree more
It's the number one reason that we work with programs that have a good support network, coaching and a community...
Because it really is so easy to get overwhelmed and lost
It's the reason that we are going to spend a lot more time now on our coaching and mentoring and making sure that those who want to succeed have someone there to push them along...
Like a boss but not a boss
It's not for everyone we know and we can't begin to work with the number of students who we know would benefit but we are opening up 10 spots for 2019/2020
