Hi Chris and Susan here
Â
As we travel across France on our way to the mountains we wanted to share a story with you
Â
It starts with the words you read just above from Jeff Walker now famous for his book Product Launch Formula which we have on our bookshelf and very well thumbed
Â
"I love my work. I get to help people all over the world create businesses they love – and I get to enjoy a pretty incredible lifestyle while doing it...
Â
He talks about his humble beginnings...
Â
I was a stay at home dad, hadn't made any money in so long… And now I look, it's been about 25 years. And it's been a lot of work over those 25 years, but to go from this place where our family was. We were in pretty serious financial distress, or maybe distresses is overstating it. But there was not much money to go around. We were barely scraping by.
And, psychologically, times were hard and I hadn't made any money and I hadn't had a job in five or six years. And I was staying home taking care of the kids and that was great. But still, I thought there was something else out there..."
Â
He always talks about those baby steps and putting one foot in front of the other and just figuring out what the next step is. And that's how all of this happened for him.
Â
That, and learning about marketing and direct marketing and continually getting better at marketing and continually working on hid marketing skills so that hr
could basically express himself in a way that people would want to buy from him. And that made a huge difference.
Â
...Plus a lot of personal development, a lot of putting good habits in place, and a lot of just perseverance and one foot in front of the other – baby steps.
Â
Because it all looks like beauty and grace finally...
Â
But there are plenty of times in there where it wasn't all beauty and grace, where he was confused, where he wasn't confident, where he didn't know the next step. But he just took the next best step, whatever that was
Â
For us it's very much the same...
Â
And probably you too!
Â
And we haven't touched the surface of what's possible in our business yet but as you can read from our Facebook post the other day...
Â
It's always going to be a journey of improvement and looking at what is good for us as individuals, as a business...
Â
And what that will mean to our students, clients and future customers
Â
So don't look for the easy button
Â
Look for the button that will give you the most satisfaction and pleasureÂ
Â
And be grateful each step of the way
Â
Thanks for reading and hope it's of valueÂ
Â
See you soon or 'Ă bientĂ´t' as we say in France...
Â
Next time we'll be writing from our mountain home and talking more about ways we can help you get the results you want in your business and achieve your dream
