The aircraft wheels thumped on the runway as we landed in Atlanta,
Georgia…

Our first trip to the USA for an event with our company

It was 2013 and we had no idea what to expect

Other than we would meet some of the people we had met online for the
first time

(It's amazing how many people you know online and regularly talk to but
have never met in person…)

The following day we went to the first session, the room was huge with
over 1000 people

Like typical Brits we sat at the back wondering why we'd come…
 

People were coming on stage, telling stories, giving us training and
really encouraging us to get to know each other

At the lunch break total strangers were coming to talk to us and we
realised the energy in the room was changing

We were in a room of like-minded people and everybody was sharing
insights and new ideas…

For us it was a totally new experience and we knew if we were to grow
our business belonging to a community like this was essential

It was a breakthrough

We've been to many events since and today we get to share our
experiences and help others from stage
