Welcome to Monday...

A new week and a fresh start

It's also a special day for us as we remember Susan's Mum who passed about in 2022

It would have been her 95th Birthday today

She was such a special part of our lives but especially Susan's 

Encouraging her entrepreneurial activities

Our love of travel ✈️🧳

And to live in Spain 🇪🇸

She had no fear of being too old for something new

And one of our favourite photos is of her with her ipad she had for her 85th Birthday

We shared it on our social media today to celebrate her special day

She faced many challenges throughout her life but had such a positive attitude... 

A glass half full versus a glass half empty 

I was thinking as I was writing this newsletter 

(I don't use GBT, AI 🤖or anything like that to write our newsletters)

There’s a lot to worry about in this next chapter of our lives

When we no longer have our parents 

Our own health and wellbeing

Our financial retirement and future plans...

About the economy and how that will impact our financial stability and security

Susan's Mum was a savvy investor and loved watching the markets

Getting mad when they went down

Celebrating when they went up or she had a win on the Premium Bonds

It's never too late to start thinking about these things

We worried we left it too late when we started our online business in our mid-fifties 

But it was probably the perfect time 

And with 14 years of experience 

Can say that today looking back 

We're glad we were challenged when we lost much of retirement savings

Because it was what made us take the initiative to change our situation

Look for a way out 

It seems there’s a lot to worry about in the next chapter of our lives

Getting older isn’t easy, and it’s sometimes scary

But the opportunities we have today far surpass those on offer when we started

Think about what you would like to do

Then find a way to do it just as we did 

“Today, retirement is a continuation of life, it’s whatever you want it to be so make sure you stay fit and healthy to enjoy every moment and have the money to enjoy every moment of it ”
