Hi Chris and Susan here...
Welcome to the weekend
Today is an extremely special and momentous day as it's the
coronation of King Charles III and we've spent the day watching the ceremony on the TV an of course celebrating with a glass of bubbly 🍾🥂
We got home from Spain just in time to be able to see events unfold and tomorrow we will be joining a street party
with our friends and neighbours from Shere where we used to live
This is what memories are made of right!
The coronation is really a moment in history and it's incredible to be part of it.
We feel really lucky.
The last time was seventy years ago before either Chris or I were born and I think the next time won't be for another ten or twenty years, so it's a really
rare opportunity...
We hope we'll be around for that
Whether we are or not we'll remember today and no doubt be talking about it in the years to come with our grand children
We think too about Charles at 74 embarking on a life of service just as his mother the late Queen Elizabeth II
It's a huge undertaking
And here we are wondering what life has in store for us
If you're reading this and wondering about your future and what your later life years will look like we highly recommend thinking about it sooner rather than
later
And whether you are approaching or in retirement it never too soon or too late to consider what you want from it
Asking the question has elicited a lot of response and we've had a week of zoom calls talking to people about their retirement
And met some very inspiring people who've begun to question what lies ahead and what they want from that time of their life
We put together a little guide
Have a read and do the exercise and then if you want to have a chat there's a link inside the book...
Enjoy your weekend 😀 and remember to
spend it with those you love
