Freedom - it's an exciting word.
And it's that potential excitement that attracts so many people into the online world
It definitely did for us BUT...
There's also a huge paradox - because in a lot of ways, freedom is also quite boring
The result is exciting, but the process itself requires a lot of repetitive and mundane steps - and that can be quite boring
OK we didn't write those words
In fact they came from a friend in the network marketing space who
we follow
He goes on to say...
It's that paradox that can make it so hard for people to reach their goals.
For so many, the inability to separate the process from the result is the
main reason that they fail to reach their goals
Building a business well means that you need to repeat a handful of processes over and over and over again...
But because we're chasing freedom and excitement, we can easily get distracted by exotic processes and flashy short-cuts (aka shiny objects)
A great business can create
freedom for you - but first you need to fall in love with the 'boring' part of the work, repeating the fundamentals over and over again until they become natural
It's no different to a great athlete - they achieve their freedom through going through the same training schedules, eating the same meals, performing the same routines - over and over and over again!
Taking it the next step - we
all know the mantra 'It's not what works but what duplicates'.
For things to duplicate, they need to be simple
A reliable business requires reliable processes
That can seem boring and mundane, but duplication can't happen if it's exotic or complicated
And there's definitely no long term reliability if you're trying to short-cut the process
Learn to fall in love with the process, embrace the repetition, master the
mundane - and then you can enjoy the freedom, at a level most other people can't
It's what we had to do but it
was hard for us back in the day as we were like those early pioneers as there were no real duplicatable processes
Today it's a very different story

It's simple to
follow
