Welcome to our weekly newsletter from back home in the UK

Gosh what a lot happens in the space of a week

Mum tested positive for COVID adding to the 4 million plus new cases reported in the UK and at 92 and vulnerable given her Cancer obviously that's been a worry for us but we're on day 6 as we write this and whilst it's been a rollercoaster she looks like she's on the mend

Trouble is that I inevitably got is as well so I'm doing all I can to make sure Chris doesn't get it and very grateful that the supplements we have been taking to balance our gut biome seem to have helped considerably

So that's where we are on the personal front

Today though we want to talk about the best investment you can make

And was inspired by an article from a good friend of ours and wanted to share it with you

It begins like this...

There are so many incredible investment opportunities in the World today, it's crazy!

You can invest in crypto and NFTs, real estate, the stock market, you name it.

But the one investment you need to make before any of those will work out for you is...

Investing in yourself and your self-education

We did that back in 2009/10 and it's the best thing we ever did

The marketing and online business skills we learned have served us well over the past decade and continue to do so

The more we invest in ourselves, the easier it is to grow our business, help more of our clients and students and ultimately make more sales.

Because the truth is that when we invest in us we now have the authority and confidence to attract more clients for our business

Be the client you want to attract

Just this week I was chatting to a lady and her husband on Facebook who promotes a trading business opportunity in the crypto currency space

She had sent us one of those dreaded but all too familiar messages with her friend request

You know the ones that begin Hi Chris...

Then nothing!

And so it goes on...

And you know that eventually the pitch is coming

We were not disappointed

She then pleaded with us to take a look after insisting already that crypto currency and trading opportunities are not our thing

And offered her some advice of why this kind of thing doesn't work

I thought that would be the end of it but interestingly she asked how she should promote her business on social media

Who can refuse an offer from someone willing to learn and invest in themselves

Here's what I said to her...

Thanks for asking and here’s some ideas for you

If you want to use social media and get leads organically you need to play by the rules of social media and have people ask you what you are doing to make money/support your own economy

It’s called attraction marketing

You never do what we call “hey girl” messages or "hey/hi" then say nothing

It’s what gives the game away

Here's what we would suggest

Build your daily social media content and get people engaging with you (a mix of social/family and business)

You see right now if I look at your FB I don’t have any idea you are an entrepreneur...

As a person you look nice to know

There is nothing to suggest when someone interacts with you that there is a business behind the profile

Who do you help?

How do you help them? (Don’t mention the crypto trading at this stage)

Just talk about helping people improve their financial well-being

Your bio, your about and your profile cover photo can do that for you and if you have a funnel for your business have a link that doesn’t give the game away like ours

We have a lot of links inside ours but most people would just have one or two

One of which would be an opt in to get something of value such as a book, video, training (called a lead magnet) and build your list of contacts interested in improving their financial economy

You have a lot of good things going for you as we found when we checked you out before accepting your friend request

We were impressed by your posts and it looked like you had some influence and authority (the TV interview photo) but showed family and fun were important too
